What's the Difference Between Each Kind of Dyes for Webbing?

- Dec 25, 2020-

There are several kinds of dyes for fabric.

Acid dye is generally applicable to protein fiber, nylon fiber, silk, etc.,. The main characteristics are bright color, but not washable, dry cleaning can, is widely used at present.

Basic dyes are mainly suitable for acrylic fiber, polyester fiber, polyamide fiber  and protein fiber. Their main characteristics are bright color, especially suitable for man-made fiber. However, they are also used in natural cellulose and protein fabrics, which are water-resistant and light-resistant.

Direct dyes are more suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics with poor washing fastness and different luminance resistance, but the washing chromatism of modified direct dyes can be greatly improved.

Disperse dyes are more suitable for viscose, acrylic, nylon, polyester, etc., the washing fastness is different, polyester is better, viscose is worse.

Azo fuels are suitable for cellulose fabrics and are more suitable for bright colors.

Reactive dyes, mostly used in cellulose fiber fabrics, bright color, light resistance, water washing, good friction resistance.

Vulcanized dyes are suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics, dark color, mainly navy, black and brown, light resistance, water resistance is very good, poor chlorine resistance bleaching, long-term storage of fabric will destroy the fiber.

VAT dyes are suitable for cellulose fibre fabrics and are light - and water-resistant, as well as resistant to chlorine and other oxidative bleaches.

We use reactive dyes for all our draw cords, shoelaces and webbing tapes products. And can meet the OEKO 100 Standards.
